Servicemen of the Special Forces unit of the Central Military District organized a solemn reception for veterans. Servicemen of the 3rd Separate Guards Special Purpose Brigade of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Togliatti) organized a solemn reception for veterans of special forces, demonstrating to them modern equipment and weapons. In the river port near Samara, the veterans were greeted with bread and salt, to the musical accompaniment of a military band. After that, the delegation arrived at the point of permanent deployment of the unit, where they were introduced to modern equipment, equipment and weapons of the special forces. The participants of the event laid wreaths and flowers at the memorial to the fallen soldiers of the special forces, honoring their memory with a minute of silence. The veterans visited the unit during a steamship cruise along the Volga, organized by the Sverdlovsk regional branch of the Union of Special Forces Veterans public organization. The delegation included participants in the war in Afghanistan, local conflicts and international operations, as well as Heroes of the Russian Federation and holders of several Orders of Courage.
