I gave up on the political class in this country solving any problems over 20 years ago. These days we no longer even agree on whether or not something is a problem...
I had a big long answer to give to you and in the end I just said f*k it. lol.

Yeah, Surfpunk. I agree with you, but the extremely short timeframe to calling each other NAZIs is way worse than it used to be. IMHO. It's pretty sad!

it started with the left. it fits in with where the left in the US and most places, comes from. In the 60's and 70's they were communist agitators, that allied themselves with the civil rights movements, and now their children are mayors and DA's, city council, etc, but with the same virulent strain of communism at the core.....
this is my background, by the way, Mom was always giving me the communist booklets to read, I remember her lecture that the communism that was currently on display in the SU (yes I was a teen in the 80's) was not REAL communism...
anyway, people like her ended up teaching our kids, and passing it on to their own kids, who like I said, are now a part of civil society
 
*****Warning Graphic******Thankfully I have a house full of healthy happy kids. We did miscarry 1st trimester our second baby & remember thinking why would anyone do this on purpose. I was naivete then. Had a US State Dept Official make a comment to me after a ruff day of seeing 100's of Afghan children suffering & dying from all manner of abuses & saying all sorts of bad things to God that night. The State guy simply said "Buzz, God is all around us here & sometimes it's better to have never been born". To me deciding to abort a baby is a decision that belongs with the prospective parents & their God.

This. It is an interesting debate and I don't think that it can be framed in terms of Christians vs Infidels. OR conservatives vs democrats. Personally I have some personal moral objections about abortion but OTOH I can see why it is necessary.

I can also see the necessity for universal health care. If you want to let corporations control your access to health care then good for you. I am glad I don't live in America.

"In Indiana you make 2.13 an hour" the worst part is I cannot even sympathize with these people I don't get out of bed for under 30k a year. I take that wage for granted. It is not a ludicrous wage within the context of what I do for a living. However.......

Actually I am lying I feel for these people. They live in the land of milk and honey and they have been reduced to wage slaves.

The solution is simple, isn't it?

Just vote Democrat and watch them ship even more industries and jobs to China while opening the border to even more low skilled labour, I'm sure that won't exert pressure on wages and living standards at all...
