Nothing as breathtaking as Colin manage to take, but still enjoyed a decent walk which was worthy of a couple of photos in the town next to mine along the river:

It was a pretty mild day now that we’re well into autumn season. Very enjoyable.

Those are also a couple of shots from three years ago, taken… in the Northern tip of Britanny. A castle… Just look at this fog and scenery and you understand why Brits feel at home in NW France. ;)

Photos quality is so so, I don’t think I took them with an iPhone then, maybe some cheap Windows Phone.

I am pretty sure it does not belong to France in any case - the Bretons spoke a Celtic style language and had their own identity - more akin to Cornwall and Cornish people ;)

There are many Bretons that indeed speak… their own language and would gladly be independent of France, like at some point the Corsicans and Basques, even though they never turned into mass terrorism, criminal activity and murders like those.

It’s a great region indeed, very unlikely going “independent” even though if that shall happen I’m moving there for good and ?to the rest of the country.

I don't know why, but the pictures remind me of Tintagel in Cornwall - or what it would look like if any of it was still there

Indeed, here’s a map of western Europe and what are considered “Celtic” people:

The Welsh, Bretons, Galicians are in. No wonder though as they all have their own dialects about Celtic heritage.

Sorry for the off topic btw. Back to pictures!

3rd image reminds of the similar setting of the Castle used/featured in the Kirk Douglas . Tony Curtis film .. the Vikings
