Looks like we'll be closing/passing papers on the new house on 13 July. Oh, and its a Friday too. Good thing 13 is an Italian lucky number (50% Italian). Had our first date on a Friday the 13th and even got engaged on a Friday the 13th too. Been nearly 30 years so it hasn't been too bad of luck. LOL

A just ordered a pack to replace my old 5.11 72hour rush pack, from a Polish manufacturer - Helikon-Tex , the bail out bag (hard to find it's out of stock almost everywhere). I will use it for my EDC stuff + as a camera bag.
Originally I will have purchased a Vertx Gamut from the USA but since the president of the southern border is now pledging to punish “the people of Canada”, I try to avoid buying anything from this country (maybe is nothing, people can see as a futile exercise but I do what I think is good for me and the country where I live).

Two weeks in Japan flying Royal Thai airlines to Osaka via Bangkok, some days in Tokyo and then back to Osaka for a few more days. We are using Osaka as our base to get around the Kansei area via JapanRail

I was last in Japan as a young 19yo sailor in 1975, I expect it has changed a little

Well after many years of pondering I have decided to bite the bullet. I have ridden old bikes and my current bike is a Honda VFR800 Fi 18 years old.

I hear ya! I like NASCAR diecast. BUT...those NASCAR diecast that were so hot 10-15+ years ago have little or no value now. They are very cheap on ebay.

Right now I'm sticking to Maisto models I can pick in Sams Cub for $15 bucks...I like the vintage 1/18 salediecast from the 40s to early 70s also.

I just got some Russian gear. Not the issued one, but for PMCs and the Special ops. Very, very good stuff, but costs just as much as the western equivalents.

Yes, the current Russian equipment of commercial companies and that - as you said - very good things. I, in turn, try to bring useful souvenirs from my journeys. I did not enjoy it for too long, because my older daughter said yesterday at supper that she would take that scarf for 3 weeks for a scout trip. Well, she can also appreciate good equipment ... I will add that in August I plan a longer trip to the Carpathian mountains, also in their Ukrainian part and I hope to bring some souvenirs as well.

Unfortunately, I found Ukrainian gear both government issued and made by third parties to be very underwhelming. In short, I wouldn't use it for airsoft BB warz to say nothing of actual combat. The only exception is: http://p1gtac.com/en/ The other known maker, M-TAC is very inconsistent. Wouldn't buy it online because of it.
