By all accounts, Operation Red Wings was a fiasco made decisively worse by the SEALs. Luttrell's version of events has long since been questioned, too. I wouldn't be surprised to hear he made his story up. One thing I didn't realise until recently is that the SEALs have a negative reputation in some US military circles. Didn't expect that.

The MoH situation regarding Britt Slabinski (ST6) where the Seals lied their asses off to slander the actual hero John Chapman (Air Force Combat Controller) and make themselves look better also stinks to all hell.
