Hi I'm doing some research for the 100th birthday of a WWII RAF driver who landed in Normandy D+12, and drove Bedford, Commer Q2, etc prime mover with Queen Mary trailer to move damaged aircraft back to the UK on Landing Craft (Tank)s to the end of the war. Any photos would be much appreciated. Maurice, RAF Ret'd.

Here's an example from North Africa (Commer Q2, No 53 Repair and Salvage Unit) and a preserved Scammell Pioneer. While not from your particular unit, the photos provide a good idea of what that business must have been like.

I've also found an essay about the RAF repair and salvage activities of WW2 in general (page 111):
Journal of the Royal Air Force Historic Society, No 51

Thank you very much for the photos and the link to the RAF HA Report 51 on RAF Repair and Salvage units, all extremely useful and will make a massive nostalgic contribution Mr Leetham's 100th birthday today. Everyone's contribution very much appreciated.
