Can anyone help with the history of 17 OTU (Operational Training Unit) a Unit that was based at RAF Upwood in Cambridgeshire, the period I'm looking for is around 1940.

Thank you

Hi mate, I found out that 17 OTU were formed from Number 90 Sqn and Number 35 Sqn on 08 April 1940 and was part of 7 Group.

Hope this helps a little, maybe you knew this already?. Ill keep looking

I have done very little research on this Unit as of yet, thanks for the link  .
My interest in this Unit is the fact that I have some original aerial reconnaissance imagery taken by them of my village dated 1940. I know that they were not a main stream photo-recce unit, but they did fly some aircraft fitted with F24 cameras.
