GOF/General Operation Force or Pasukan Gerakan Am/PGA in Malay. It's a paramilitary branch within the Police with roots in the old Jungle Police during communist insurgency era. It's analogous to the gendarmes in other countries although gendarmes are usually military units that are tasked in civil policing while the GOF is somewhat in reverse
Most of them are issued with M16A1 as standard rifle although some L1A1 rifles found its way on the hands of the more bulky personnel.
They are to be replaced by Colt ACCM although these M16s are still going to be used by regular uniformed police for foreseeable future
