Other Post Military Helmet Identification Thread.

ok it looks a little similar to the WW2 Swedish M37 but that has 4 rivet heads showing around the outside, where the helmet I have shows only 2 rivet heads where the strap is fitted.

OK it appears to be a 1965-1990's period M37/65 Swedish Military helmet.

The shell was originally designed in 1937, and remained in use by Sweden until the 1990s.

In 1965, the liner, which was a three-pad leather liner, was replaced with an U.S. M1 style liner, relevant to most other models in the world at that time.

The chinstrap on my example was not changed to canvas type, as others were, and is possibly missing a piece of leather (Chin-cup.)

Dear friend, have you visited this page? I can help you with your identification and search
Thanks for the link, my helmet was identified as a Swedish M37 that was remodeled in 1965. (see post above yours.)

Does anybody know what type helmet this? Closest helmet I could find is a Russian ssh 68, this helmet appears older with a rough texture finish similar to a polish wz 31. Is it Russian? Polish or another Warsaw Pact country or ww2 era or prior. Thanks in advance.

I have a similar issue identifying a helmet (that looks American at first glance) that was recently acquired from a thrift store. I've scoured the internet for similar helmets to no avail. The leather liner is unlike anything I can find and is possibly a newer addition. Any help would be much appreciated!
