This is one of the nicest, easily readable scientific geology papers I have seen. Really well explained . I don;t know if I found it easier because most of the words about bedding types and the depositional concepts are familiar to me. I found it a little skimpy on explaining the water sources and the causes.

Always remember that these rocks are incredibly ancient, and you could not find them on Earth.
