Hello everyone, I came across this beautiful internet website upon looking for images of operation urgent Fury as generally it seemed pretty hard to find any before coming onto here when I clicked randomly.

I dont think i even deserve to say this as i am quite literally just starting my "career" in the united states navy, and ship out to bootcamp this November, but I'm happy I found this board before I go away for a bit. Thank you guys for being here and I thank all of you for your service to those who have served and given me the inspiration to do something I once thought wasn't possible and has been a childhood dream of mine. I look forward to using this website and hopefully meeting new friends and acquaintances.

My interests are the crimean war (1853 not 2012) , the Congo wars, various cold war proxy and direct conflicts, and GOTW :)

Welcome to Mi.Net and good luck with your military career. The best advice I can give you is you will only get as much out of it as you put in.
All the best

Welcome and good luck in boot! Remember to keep your mouth shut unless spoken to, obey all orders and pay all respects, and to take all the hard rights over any easy lefts and you'll be fine.

I wasn't US Navy but was US Army, but boot is still boot across the board.

If you haven't started already, get some cardio now beforehand with some upper and lower body strength training and maintain it all the way till boot and then keep maintaining it.

I think the Navy calls it a rating and not an MOS, so I will ask what job field is in your contract?
