Spaetzle are so good! My Mom made them rather frequently when we were growing up. She has the traditional metal spaetzle press.

I've even managed to convert my wife into a spaetzle lover. She has the grater/hopper style of spaetzle maker. For her, the key was to saute them in a bit of butter to crisp them up. I don't need that, but I do like it. I'm good with 'em however they are served.

It’s also soup season on this side of the Rhine River. Not homemade but tomatoes one with extra salt. Not bad and nicely warms the body.

North Sea shrimp are great! I had shrimp coquettes at a restaurant in Oostende a few years ago and loved them!

The spätzle press is a must have this is ours we use the grater type here for illustrative purposes. You place it over a pot with boiling salted water and then you fill the spätzle dough into the white container and move it left and right. Causing the spätzle to drip into the boiling water.

I also like spätzle roasted in butter, thats very Swabian.

Indeed its time for soups. Peut être une soupe à l'oignon? We love to eat this French classic over here with a piece of toast and covered with melted Gruyère cheese.

No pics, but we just had our first wagyu steak. We're definitely going to be buying some more to put away for the occasions for it because we totally get it now with it's popularity.

Was pan fried in olive oil and some butter, veggies were olive oil sautéed asparagus, red peppers, and yellow onions. Beverages were less extravagant. Cranberry seasonal Sprite, that we shared a bottle with, and water.

Almost every restaurants today put the chips into a pot. New trend of sort, I don’t mind it but I liked it in a plate better.
