On Thursday, September 12, 2024, information appeared on the DVIDS (Defense Visual Information Distribution Service) website that at the US Army Tropic Regions Test Center in Panama, soldiers of the German Land Forces (Heer) began testing the latest 5.56 mm G95A1/KA1 automatic rifles, i.e. the Heckler & Koch HK416A8 with 16.5- and 14-inch barrels.
