The German Army trolling the German Air Force on Twitter:

Team_Luftwaffe: Our pilots need to be in excellent shape during [Exercise] Arctic Challenge. They have Mirjam Engels, the resident physiotherapist of 31st Tactical Air Wing, to help them keep fit. Read more about her job here [Link].

Heer: In the army, we have Diclofenac.

Team Luftwaffe. I’ve been wondering for a bit why this name remained for the German Air Force. Every time I think of it I have in mind:

They could have kept Wehrmacht as well eh? ;)

They actually could've stuck with that word. 'Wehrmacht' translates to "defence force" and is, strictly speaking, politically neutral. A German dictionary printed at any point between 1871 and 1945 would've listed 'Wehrmacht' as a generic byword for "military". Even WW2-era German sources usually referred to the allies' armies as 'Wehrmacht', e.g. 'britische Wehrmacht'.

'Luftwaffe' is likewise politically neutral, simply meaning "air arm". And it is used in the same vein for non-German air forces as well. Come to think of it, it's even more neutral since there is no other synonym. At least I can't think of one. The Swiss used to call their air force 'Flugwaffe' (roughly: "flying arm"), but even the Swiss-German dictionary gives 'Luftwaffe' as the correct generic term.

A 29-year old Austrian soldier has been sentenced to 19 month in prison for gun laws violations and breaching Austria's anti-Nazism laws. The man had had his brother tattoo a swastika on his scrotum, which he showed off to his comrades. (Source, Austrian)

Say what you want about hate speech laws, but it's better off that he's in prison. Sweet baby Jesus, who is mad enough to get their ballsack tattooed?!

The Danish one isn't very effective if the hostile combatant wears boots, but boy is it deadly against bare-footed enemies!
