WOW mate!! This is just stunning, what a beautiful museum and effort!! I've never seen or heard of these scenes or the museum with these panoramas until now, what a fantastic display of history.......KUDOS to the Russian artists sculptors and historians for this epic work of military and national history!!! THANK YOU for posting this stuff, magnificent!!
What I'm most impressed with is several things really, the capturing of the realities of war, the horror of war (especially in the east where it was just a senseless slaughter on Russia proper and the Russian people) the wild nature of the battles, the detailed detritus of the battles and the proud strong victories depicted in the scenes--amazing!! Well done!
Another equally noteworthy feature I see is within the telling of history as it happened they have not overstepped the Russian angle and have accurately depicted the German (and Japanese) parts of this without a propaganda spin, just accurate history, which I should think would make a wonderful legacy for the future of Russian people and their history! Just a strong national Russian response against a ruthless invading enemy no less brave, albeit fruitless.
I'm impressed with the Russian young adults/youth who appear to be the bulk of the artist, sculptors, historians, and workers in creating this work, that is always great to see, and their work in this project leaves a lasting legacy for all who get to see it and no doubt will have an impact on them as tellers of this history in their lives! The tender love and detail they clearly are seen displaying in their work bears that out as well.
I would love to get to see this in my life...........I've seen the USMC museum in Quantico VA, USA and the WWI museum in Gen Pershing Square-Park in Kansas City MO, USA both of which have beautiful panoramas of their historical battles of their periods the USMC museum having the closest to this but nothing this comprehensive. A stellar work indeed!!!
