RELÁMPAGO VIII / ÁNGEL DE LOS ANDES 23: USAF Medical Evacuation with COLAF and 23 STSPALANQUERO, COLOMBIA08.17.2023U.S. Air Force medical alongside Colombian Aerospace Force medical and special operations teams train together on medical evacuation ingest and export of patients during Ángel de los Andes 2023. Relámpago and Ángel de los Andes are combined, Colombian-led exercises taking place in the U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) theater that focus on techniques, tactics and procedures to strengthen the longstanding partnership between our armed forces.

U.S. service members and Colombian Aerospace Force personnel participate in exercises Ángel de los Andes and Relámpago, in Palanquero, Colombia, Aug. 14-25, 2023. The combined exercise Ángel de los Andes and Relámpago VIII honors the promise U.S. Southern Command to be a trusted, partner team in the region by increasing collaboration, improving interoperability and developing a partner nation's ability to work together when urgent support is needed.
 

Colombian Navy, US Navy and Japanese Navy with the USS Detroit Participates in Tri-Lateral Passing Exercise with Colombia and Japan​



CARIBBEAN SEA - (Sept. 8, 2023) – The Colombian Navy Exclusive Economic Zone Patrol ship ARC Victoria (PZE-48), and Japan Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) Training Squadron ships JS Kashima (TV-3508) and JS Hatakaze (TV-3520) conduct a tri-lateral passing exercise (PASSEX) with the Freedom-class Littoral Combat ship USS Detroit (LCS 7) in the Caribbean Sea, Sept. 8, 2023. The PASSEX enhanced communication and interoperability between forces, and improved operational readiness. USS Detroit is deployed to the U.S. 4th Fleet area of operations assigned to support Commander, Task Force 45’s mission. The mission includes combined naval operations, partnership building, and acting as a service provider to Joint Interagency Task Force South by supporting counter illicit-drug trafficking in Central and South American waters. Since I heard and my sources tells me its originally supposed to go to the Afghan Air Force. And now in Service on the Colombian National Police
