US Marines training in a humanitarian assistance exercise in Colombia

U.S. Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force combine efforts with Colombian Marines to assist and supply a local populous during a humanitarian assistance and disaster relief rehearsal on Base de Enternamiento de Infanteria de Marina, Coveñas, Colombia, Oct. 1, 2019. The exercise highlights interoperability and responsiveness between these countries. The task force is conducting training and engineering projects hand-in-hand with partner nation military members in Latin America and the Caribbean during their deployment to the region, which coincides with hurricane season.

I was privileged to have served in Sinai with COLBAT at North Camp. Very impressive soldiers that I enjoyed being around.

Ok, first impression was that they all seemed very short.
However, ”impressive” is still the word that comes to mind. I am an infantry leadership instructor and I can tell you myself and my peers were definitely impressed by the individual soldier skills of the COLBAT soldiers we met in Sinai.

I know for stories that there is an annual competition inside the MFO and with this military observers right ???

I also remember losing a Volleyball tournament to a team of much shorter Colombians when I was there too.
