Sergeant Clive Gordon Cripps, "C" Squadron, Rhodesian Special Air Service, operating deep behind enemy lines.

On 11 January 1979, he was deployed to Manicaland on the border of Mozambique as part of Operation Gaiter. Two SAS Operators were wounded in action on that sad day, and Clive was killed in action.
