Several F-15C/D Eagles assigned to the Florida Air National Guard's 125th Fighter Wing arrived to participate in the combined exercise Àngel de los Andes and Relámpago VIII in Palanquero, Colombia, Aug. 18, 2023. KFIR aircraft from the Colombian Air Force and US Air Force F-15s fly together and against each other in training using NATO standards to promote seamless interoperability. F-15 and personnel from the 125th Fighter Wing of the Florida Air National Guard, CH-47 and HH-60 helicopters from Joint Task Force-Bravo, U-28 from Special Operations Force Command Air, a C-17 of the North Carolina Air National Force The 145th Airlift Wing of the Civil Guard and the KC-135 of the 92nd Air Refueling Wing will quickly integrate into the training in the theater of operations, carrying out coalition and partner missions. Lightning focuses on air superiority and the use of large forces. ADLA provides joint humanitarian assistance (HA)/disaster relief (DR) and combat search and rescue training.
