Turkish Aselsan teamed up with Raytheon signed contract with the Duth and Danish military in 2005 to deliver her modified version of its Pedestal Mounted Air Defense System (PMADS) as a drop-in unit to be integrated with the Fennek vehicle for the Netherlands' short-range mobile air defense requirement.

Defense has started relief efforts in Haiti, hit by a severe earthquake. The patrol vessel Zr.Ms. Holland arrived on Saturday for much-needed help after the August 14 disaster.
Explorations have now been carried out on and above the island. Soldiers saw with their own eyes that the need is high on the Caribbean island.
From tomorrow onwards, soldiers will be handing out food and water in various places from the Holland. This is done with fast inflatable boats of the FRISC type and the NH90 on-board helicopter.
Marines and engineers of the army have now found a suitable landing spot near the town of Baradères with the FRISCs. They were welcomed by the locals in small boats. The NH90 helicopter of the Royal Netherlands Air Force, with 3 European medical specialists on board, explored the situation from the air. They assess whether the area would be suitable for building an emergency hospital.
