William Henry BOSTOCK. Private 241862, 1/6th South Staffordshire Regiment. Born 1896 to Alexander and Annie Elizabeth Bostock, nee Whitehead. 1911 residing with his parents and siblings at Primrose Hill, Cotmanhay Road, Ilkeston, occupation, weaving, warp handler in a textile mill. Killed in action 5 May 1917 aged 21 years. His mother was granted a war gratuity 15 September 1917, revised 27 October 1919.
Commemorated on his parents’ memorial, in Park Cemetery, Ilkeston, Derbyshire. At rest in Canadian Cemetery No 2, Neuville-Saint-Vaast, France
