- Walter Charles Ellingworth CORDELL. Petty Officer C/J25139 Royal Navy on HMS Sussex. Born 19th August 1896 Walthamstow Essex to William James and Elizabeth Cordell nee Reesby. In 1911 he resided with his parents and siblings at 87 Arkley Road, Walthamstow. Enlisted 24th June 1913 on HMS Vivid I. Civilian occupation, cloth shrinker. Died 12th May 1932 aged 35 years of a fracture base of his skull at Royal Naval Hospital, Bighi, Malta.
