At the time of his marriage 9 April 1874 at St Mary Magdalene, Woolwich, his father was Major General, Royal Engineers
His promotion. Cornet, 2nd Lieutenant or Ensign 8 July 1869. Lieutenant 23 July 1870, Captain 23 July 1882, Major 1 April 1889 and Colonel 9 April 1896.
He died at his home 12 Spa Buildings, Cheltenham 26 November 1933 aged 83.
Wills and Admin, Ancestry.
He resided at 12 Spa Buildings Cheltenham and Effingham House, Arundel Street, Strand, Middlesex. His effects went to his widow £16974 1s. 3d.
