IJN Isuzu 5800 tons. built 8-1923. Torpedoed in Dutch East Indies April 7, 1945.

This type was intended to be flagship for destroyer flotillas. Early on there was an aircraft hangar under the bridge, but it and a catapult were moved back later on. This ship was mainly used for transporting supplies and troops to various islands.

Late in the war, the original guns were removed and replaced with more anti-aircraft mounts. It was a dedicated "anti-aircraft cruiser".
