George MORLEY. Private 10435, Lincolnshire Regiment. Born 1885 at Dale Abbey, Derbyshire, to John and Millicent Morley, nee Pheasant. 1891 residing with his parents and siblings at Derby Road, Sandiacre, Derbyshire, Lofts Yard off Town Street, Sandiacre, Derbyshire. Occupation, bricklayer. 1911 boarder at the home of the Adams family at 22 Ringston Avenue, Hallam Fields, Ilkeston. Occupation general labourer in an iron pipe foundry. Husband of Alice Mary Trussell (formerly Morley, nee Towle), He joined the Lincolnshire Regiment 30 August 1914 aged 29 years and 177 days, occupation, bricklayer. Resided at 1 Canal Street, Ilkeston. The following day he was posted to the Depot, then posted to 7th Battalion 5 September 1914. 14 July 1915 he was posted to BEF France. He was posted back the Depot 29 September 1917. He was medically discharged 14 December 1916 to his home, 122 Compton Street, Hallam Fields, Ilkeston. 1920 his family were residing at 26, Albany Street, Ilkeston. Died 2 February 1920 aged 33 years from aortic regurgitation and cardiac failure.
