Born at Clay Cross 1895 to William and Minnie Howard. 1901-1911 with his parents and siblings at Thanet Street, Clay Cross. 1911 occupation aged 16 Coal Hewers Putter.
Husband of Constance Lily Howard, nee Cant of Newport, Lincoln. Died of pneumonia at Blandford Training Camp, Dorset 13th November 1918 aged 24. His widow was granted a war gratuity 12 November 1919 revised 31 January 1920 including their child Joyce, born 8 January 1919.
