Born 1918 to Alfred James White and Ada Beatrice Harriet White, nee Woods of Heanor, Derbyshire.
On the 1 October 1940 he was part crew on an Avro Anson R3304 lost on a cross country flight and firing practice at sea Cardigan Bay when the aircraft developed a technical fault and the pilot had to undertake a force landing on the Irish Sea, tragically he was the only one who lost his life.
At rest in Movilla Cemetery Newtownards County Down, Northern Ireland.
