DOUGLAS, James, 1st York and Lancaster Regiment, killed at the battle of El Teb in the Sudan in February 29th 1884 aged 28. He was the second son of William (Auctioneer) and Mary Ann of New Malton. He is commemorated on his mother's memorial in New Malton Cemetery, Yorkshire.
