D696 LEONARD HENRY PLATTS. Stoker P/KX92289 Royal Navy on HMS Maidstone. Died 10th January 1939 aged 19 on board his ship from Status lymphaticus, pulmonary oedema and heart failure. Son of Joseph William and Rose E Platts nee Wood who were married in 1918. 1911 his father and siblings were residing with his parents John and Martha Platts at 144 Victoria Road East, Leicestershire. Memorial erected by his shipmates in remembrance of a valued comradeship.

At rest in Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta Plot D Grave 696.
