D673 SAMUEL DITE. Leading Stoker Devon/K66002, Royal Navy on HMS Glorious. Born 5th July 1906 at Bristol Somerset to Samuel and Ellen Ethel Dite nee Beard. Died 14th August 1936 aged 30 years at the Royal Naval Hospital Bighi, Malta from empyema right lung. This stone was erected by his shipmates.

At rest in Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta Plot D Grave 673.

His father served in the Great War as Driver 1789 Royal Field Artillery in on the 31st August 1914 and was discharged no longer physically fit 30th September 1914 cause of discharge - an old knee joint disease which had reoccurred.
