William Robert WATKIN. Ordinary Seaman J94909, HMS Ajax. Born 22nd September 1902 at Haywards Heath, Essex to George Alfred Walter and Louisa Watkin nee Bailey. Enlisted 27th March 1919 on HMS Ganges II occupation prior to enlistment, telegraph messenger. Died 9th October 1920 aged 18 years in Royal Naval Hospital, Malta from fractured skull and other injuries when he accidentally fell into a dry dock in Malta. His mother of 11 West View, Lewes Road Lindfield Sussex was informed of his death.
