Private 956, 7th Australian Infantry, wounded in action at the dardenelles 9th May 1915 and died on board the Hospital Ship, "Nevasa" 1st June 1915, buried at Sea. He was the son of George Arthur & Mary Kate of Sherwood Rise, Nottingham. Commemorated on a family memorial at Nottingham General Cemetery, Nottinghamshire and also on the Lone Pine Memorial, Turkey
