Bernard Frederick Paul BERNARD. 2nd Lieutenant Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Born 1894 to Col. Edgar Edwin Bernard, K.B.E., C.M.G and Lady Beatrice Mary Bernard, nee Wright. He went to Royal Military College, Sandhurst. He was killed by rifle fire whilst cutting wire in front of enemy trench in Belgium 19 December 1914 aged 20 years.
He is commemorated on the Ploegsteert Memorial, Hainaut, Belgium.

Bernard Frederick Paul BERNARD. Lieutenant, 2nd Battn (6th Foot) The Royal Warwickshire Regt only son of Col E.E. Bernard C.M.G., financial secretary to the Sudan Government. Was gazetted 2nd Lieut, Royal Warwickshire Regt, 1 Oct 1914. Served with the Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders, being promoted Lieut and was killed in action Dec 1914.
His father applied for his medals and they were sent to him at St Ann’s Mansions, St James Park, London, S.W. 1.
