1.28.02 Arthur HEWER. Rifleman 100, 1st Rifle Brigade stationed at Fort Manoel Island. Born 1884 at Watchfield Farringdon, Berkshire to George and Sarah A Hewer. In 1891 residing with his parents and siblings at Grors Hill, Highworth, Wiltshire. Enlisted 18 January 1904, civilian occupation, railway porter. Died 23 May 1904 aged 19 years and 6 months. His father was granted a gratuity 18 August 1904.
