Earlier today ..... by god the wind was brutal

The small, nimble and elusive Long Tailed Tit.

Ah they are sweet little bird. Love the ball shaped nests they make. Don't have any visiting my terrace but I have blue's nesting every year for the past 3 years, my buddy made them a nestbox. This time of year the tits form into a motley crew of long tailed / blue / great and goldcrests to increase the chances of finding food.

As it started to pour down ,, decided to head back home ..still undecided about the fisheye effect , in the first 2

The water was very nice and warm, great for swimming in.

Finally a break in the weather .... I would have missed it if i hadn't got out of bed to collect a package from the neighbour across the rd

But it didn't last long as the clouds obscured the Moon etc once again

A Belter of an Afternoon .. .. Took 300 plus pics ..Ranging from Birds in Flight , C17 , B747 , a light aircraft .. a stunning sunset and 3 ships .. and a Pilot boat . Only downside was the souwesterly wind .. it was brutally cold
