Height over bore on the rifle is far more than necessary (and desirable). He doesn't even have anything mounted in front of the optic.

He has a steiner DBAL A3 mounted in front of the optic.

That's, basically, the idea behind the GBRS Hydra mount.
Having your optic mounted at 1.93 (akin to an optic mounted on top of the good old traditional carry handle), which makes it easier on the gunman (general stance, use of NVG, etc...).
The front rail on which the DBAL is mounted is meant to have what is usually mounted on the top rail as far back as possible (thus reducing front weight) and slightly up so the "weak" hand does not obstruct the various lasers and illuminator of the device.

Mostly meant for CQB, night time CQB.

That's the latest fancy gadget that has been released.

As for the inside of the police car, that's how US police cars are set.

The only thing worthy of criticism is the cop driving with one hand on the wheel and his starbuck in the other.

Okay - there are two massive hospitals within about 2 miles of where he was shot, DRI and Derby Royal - both service the city of Derby

Why did they take him by ambulance to QMC in Nottingham?

Something very odd going on here, and why shot 6 times instead of taser? He only had a knife

More experience in treating gunshot related injuries?

A&E in those hospitals already overloaded?

Just struck me as odd - knowing the area well - the last place I would want to go is the QMC

None of the places will have had much experience in treating gunshot wounds - if any

The last guy I saw at the new Derby hospital was French and had worked in a war zone - I asked him where he had trained because he tied two plastic gloves together to apply as a tourniquet

I am still surprised they shot the guy - it just does not happen in this area

The Hungarian Central Counter-Terrorism Service, TEK, is on... The mission is to capture a paranoid schizophrenic. The suspect has suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and is currently in hospital as a result of the unprofessional execution of the operation.
And a little extra
".....You know very well that I have always been more lenient than others in my former workplace. But this video proved what made me leave them in 2014. At the time it was apparent that good pay was not attracting professional dedicated police officers, but the child of my brother's mate the Secretary of State so people had to be hired. The old " guard slowly faded away when those hired three weeks ago suddenly became operations managers and department heads became directors or who knows what. Already then, the quality of both training and the execution of operations had begun to plummet. 12 years after the creation of such a unit, it is a crime to carry out such an operation. I knew the former commander of the task force in the picture. He was a very good specialist. He was fired without justification 3 years ago. He is now a security guard at Ferihegy. His group was taken over by a boy with a kisser. The result is clearly visible. It's a joke how the video got out. One of the "knowledgeable" directors didn't know that operational videos had to be classified. When the defence lawyers asked for it, they released the video, .They were not stupid, of course, they saw immediately that it was unclassified and could be put on the internet. The old adage has been proven true. Before the internet, only your immediate colleagues knew how stupid you were. Since then, millions of people have. I'm sorry the TEK started out as a professional team with a good idea and turned into the clowns of the country.
