I'm surprised Trump hasn't contacted you to advise his administration.

The fact of the matter is the American populace is no longer interested in sending their sons and daughters to bleed in forever wars in the middle east. If you feel so strongly about it, maybe you can write your Congressman.

The arrival of Syrianair's flight at Ferihegy on Saturday evening was preceded by great preparations, airport sources told Magyar Hang. According to our information, the Syrian plane rolled into Terminal I a little before eight o'clock - which is interesting because we could not find any trace of the flight on the publicly available radar map - and several microbuses were dispatched to the plane. The rebels invaded Damascus and then reported that they had liberated the country from Assad. Reuters reports that the president has left the country.

We understand that the arrival of the Syrianair flight was accompanied by strict security measures: the flight's ground staff were not among the airport staff, and they were not allowed near the Syrian plane. There are unconfirmed reports that Counter Terrorism Centre units were also present at Ferihegy, and that local staff were signed a confidentiality agreement - so this flight may never have officially landed.

If you feel so strongly about it, maybe you can write your Congressman.

Or, even better, he could simply go there himself and fight the good fight.

Lead by example.

Anyway, "unconfirmed rumors" about an Il76 carrying Assad being shot down while on its way to the Allawite enclave. I suppose the origins of that rumor is the Il76 took off from Damascus, headed towards Tartus/Latakia, turned around pas the mountains, dropped altitude and signal got lost.

Additional rumors are it got shot down by Russian forces in that region. Could be an accident, but it could also be the Kremlin decided to give Assad the Prigozhin treatment.
Considering how the fall of the regime occurred, it seems, to me at least, that everybody was aware of what was going on and the outcomes except for Assad.
Furthermore, none of Assad's allies helped because Assad himself, or rather his forces and his people, didn't fight. If you are fighting for your own country, there is no reason for us to fight that battle for you.
