OPERATION UNITAS LXIV, COLOMBIA 2023

In full enlistment, the Colombian National Navy presented itself to receive the delegations from 19 countries that were part of Operation UNITAS 2023, which took place from July 11 to 21of 2023 in the waters of the Caribbean Sea. In the Bay of Cartagena, ships of different nationalities gathered to participate in the various exercises, with which it seeks to increase the level of interoperability, strengthen the degree of enlistment and training among the participating Navies at the Task Force level. More than 4,500 men and women gathered to carry out training in naval, air, submarine and land scenarios in version 64, seeking to increase cooperation ties and interoperability capabilities; carrying out combined naval operations that allow control of the sea; improve the combat capacity of the participating naval, air and expeditionary forces and strengthen those of humanitarian assistance and disaster response. Within the framework of the celebration of the Naval Bicentennial, the Colombian Navy was the host of this important naval exercise promoted by the United States that has been carried out annually since 1959 and that this year included more than 23 warships, 3 submarines, 29 aircraft and approximately 4,500 people from 19 partner countries.

interesting "fair" with aircraft far from the public, a bad local copy of the Brazilian squadron (including the color of the uniforms and the patches with the surnames and functions within the "squadron"), less of the same (since the influx of exhibitors was not the same as previous fairs), and once again how OPERATIONAL flight hours are lost doing STUNTS and risking aircraft, crews and spectators...
