Brazilian Air Force says goodbye to the C-130 Hercules
Developed for similar missions, the Embraer KC-390 Millennium aircraft faces the challenge of continuing the victories and operational legacy achieved by the C-130 throughout its 370,000 flight hours in the Brazilian Air Force.
Embraer and the Brazilian Air Force announced the beginning of collaborative studies to identify potential platform adaptations for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance missions. The platforms to be used are already operational in the Brazilian Air Force, such as the C-390 Millennium. / https://embraer.com/global/en/news?...e-begin-studies-for-special-mission-platforms
CENTAURO II BR, already with the Brazilian Army painting, they are already on their way to Brazil for final tests. Brazil ordered a first batch of 98 vehicles to provide firing support, scout and anti tank capabilities to the mechanized units using the 6X6 Guarani APC. These are going to be used in the so called FORPRON units which are high readyness battalions capable of moving very fast across the country. The advantage of wheeled armored units in Brazil is that they don't need to be moved by truck across the country, beeing able to move on their own if necessary contrary to the Leopard 1A5 and M113 units. Also the Centauro II introduces Brazil to the 120mm Ammunition.
With more than twenty days of action to help the people of Rio Grande do Sul State, devastated by the heavy rains that hit the region, the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) made several aircraft available to transport donations from all over Brazil to Rio Grande do Sul State, in an action of solidarity and resilience. Hundreds of tons of food, water, clothing and medicine are being distributed from the Canoas Air Base (BACO).
