anyone with a keyboard and high on grass and come with this kind of idea.

Well, there is no damage to the vehicles, no dead bodies and very little sign of a fight - where are all the enemy soldiers who brought in this version of armored mary celeste?

If road is blocked you would prefer to left vehicles and retreat by foot, and waiting to enemy to destroy you maybe wasn't part of plan. And generally BTR 70 are quite old and most likely they are part of some second tier units maybe border guard (even if Azers Border Guard have lot of very good vehicles).
Anyway I guess that they have better methods to locate bases then loosing (even worse giving to enemy) company sized equipment.

EDIT> Or soliders simply dismounted and fight on some other location and vehicles were waiting with some small guard taken by surprise... or .....

There are many options but giving them to enemy by intention for whatever reason is last on the list

Maybe not directly related with this subject but yet relevant>
Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) says it has suspended the delivery of aircraft engines to "countries with unclear usage" in the wake of reports that some of those engines are being used on Turkish combat drones deployed by Azerbaijan in fighting against Armenian forces in Nagorno-Karabakh.
They had no idea that their engines were used for UAV :) :)

The Quebec-based company — better known for its Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles — said it became aware late last week that some of the recreational aircraft engines produced by its Austrian subsidiary, Rotax, are being used on Turkish Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Earlier other company from Canada banned export of some electronic equipment used in Bayraktar (iirc targeting and navigation components).
Turkey policy of making enemies start working..
