Photos Afrikakorps Opel Blitz/flak38

Afrikakorps -15th Pz.Div.Opel Blitz mitt flak38. Built in 1/35 scale, I used the Italeri Opel Blitz 3ton truck and the Dragon 20mm flak38. There's lot's of fabrication involved in the fighting compartment with gun mount anchors (shoes) made from thin sheet styrene. The ammunition can rack located at the front of the bed behind the cab, was made from balsa wood and is covered with a tarp made from facial tissue.

Superb effort, Razorboy! Great-looking model. I have the Italeri Opel Blitz too, but it's lying half-finished, in the box! Might have to think about having another go at it now! solthum

...gotta love the variations of vehicles used for this gun,overall I like the desert setting and the weathering done to the truck is very typical of what you would see in the field,I do like this truck,nicely done! I also did one but changed it somewhat,I went with a bigger gun[size escapes me] as well as going to 4x4.
