On this day my Nephew, Marine Paul Warren was killed in Afghanistan serving with Charlie (Spartan) Company , 40 Commando Royal Marines.
My family and I remember him always but this is a day when when our pain is strongest.
We will not be able to gather en mass due to Covid-19 but myself, my wife...
This was done in Honour of my nephew Royal Marine Paul Warren of Charlie Company 40 Commando. tragically killed in Sangin, Afghanistan 2010.

This Memorial was placed by the family of royal Marine Commando, Paul Warren who was killed in Sangin, Afghanistan on 21 june 2010 whilst serving with 40 Commando Royal Marines.

On 21st june 2010 Marine Warren was injured in an explosion when Patrol Base Airport Lounge in afghanistan was attacked by insurgents. Despite being given immediate first aid by his comrades, Marine Warren's injuries proved to be fatal.
