The CCOES or Joint Command of Special Operations was created in 2007 to replace the CUNOE Unified Command of Special Operations, it has around 5,000 highly trained men specialized in irregular warfare, direct action, and intelligence gathering on battlefields in various dimensions (air, land, water, and cybernetic), is in charge of planning and executing special operations inside and outside the national territory against terrorist groups, high-value targets, and organized crime, all of which have high operational, tactical, and strategic importance for the Colombian state.As for its structure that has been made public, it is known:Headquarters of the Joint Special Operations Command.
