William Wynter PEACHE. D.S.O. Lieutenant, Royal Engineers died 3rd December 1914 aged 24 at Auberge de Castile, Valletta. He was born on the 10th October 1890, baptised on the 26th January 1891, son of James Courthope Peache and Marion Agnes Peache (nee Gibbon), of Thorpe, Haywards Heath, Sussex. Born at Thames Ditton, Surrey.

MILITARY FUNERAL.
The last mark of respect to the memory of the late Lieutenant William Wynter Peache, Royal Engineers, was paid on Saturday morning when the remains were conveyed, with full military honours, for interment in the Ta Braxia Cemetery.
Leaving the mortuary of the Military Hospital, Valletta, at 7.30 o'clock, the cortege moved off in the following order.
Firing Party, composed of 40 men of the Royal Engineers, under command of Lieut. Michelli.
Band of the Royal Artillery (Malta).
The coffin, covered with the Union Jack, on which rested the cap, sword and belt of the deceased; borne on a gun-carriage drawn by four horses, with Staff Sergeants, A.S.C. as off- riders and leader.
At the gate of the Cemetery, were as. His Excellency the Governor, Major General Barker, with their respective Staffs, and a number of Officers representing the Royal Artillery and other units in Garrison.
On the arrival of the cortege, the coffin was dismounted and borne on an ambulance by a party of RE., the pall bearers being Lieutenants Napier. Clavering and Streeten, Lieuts. Hughes Hallett, Godfery, de Kantzow and Mucklow.
The Rev. M. Tobias, S.C.F., headed the procession to the grave where the sad Service was read with impressiveness, at the conclusion of which the usual three volleys were fired in the air, the ceremony being brought to a close with the sounding of the
