William Palmer HUSSELBEE. Private 241063 1/6th South Staffordshire Regiment formerly Pte 3925, same regiment. Born 1895 to Alexander and Florence Emma Husselbee, nee Palmer. 1901 aged 6 years residing with his parents and sibling at 26A, Great Hampton Street, Wolverhampton. 1911 with his mother and siblings at 5 Dunstall Street, Wolverhampton, occupation, wood sawyer’s labourer.
Killed in action 18 April 1916. His father was granted a war gratuity 13 June 1917 revised 19 January 1920. Commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France.
This poppy cross was at the Staffordshire Regiment Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire on the 11 November 2018
