William MONTGOMERY

William Samuel Montgomery. Rifleman 534, 16th Royal Irish Rifles. Born 5 November 1893 to William and Elizabeth Montgomery, nee Robinson at Ballymacreelly, County Down. 1901 residing with his parents and siblings at 13, Ballybredagh, Killinchy, County, 1911 he was residing with his parents and siblings at 6 Ballymacromwell, Killyleagh, occupation aged 17 years, farm servant. Died in Warcliff Military Hospital, Sheffield, England 17 November 1916 aged 24 years. His father was granted a war gratuity 28 April 1917 revised 23 October 1919.
