Thomas Spencer Vaughan PHILLIPS, K.C.B. Admiral Royal Navy killed in action while in Command of H.M.S. Prince of Wales on the 10th December 1941 aged 53. Son of Colonel Thomas Vaughan Wynn Phillips, Royal Artillery, and Louisa Mary Adeline de Horsey Phillips husband of Lady Phillips, of Bude, Cornwall. Commemorated on the Plymouth Naval Memorial, Devon He lived at Binton Corner Seale, Surrey. His effects went to Gladys Metcalfe Phillips, widow. http://ww2db.com/person_bio.php?person_id=431
