Flight Lieutenant Edwards has displayed exceptional ability during night flying operations and has destroyed 5 enemy aircraft. During July and August, 1942, 22 enemy aircraft were destroyed .by a detachment of his squadron while under his command. Throughout, this officer has shown
courage, resource and devotion to duty of a high order.

Died in a de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito NF MkII 5th June 1943 aged 25 years as the result of a plane crash caused by an engine cut on the approach to RAF Luga, along with navigator, George Haley who is at rest in F28, this cemetery. Son of Joseph and Winnie Lily Tym, and husband of Diana Monica Maria Tym, of South Kensington, London.
