Extended Description: Warrant Officer Peter CANSFIELD. Bomber Command Avro Lancaster Bomber of 467 Squadron Royal Australian Air Force stationed at RAF Bottesford He died 1997

The following is credit to Steve Canfield on Flickr. His plane crashed was shot down . There was a crew of 7, two died the remainder were taken prisoner of war. POW Camp Stalag Luft 6. prisoner number 532. He was aged 21 when taken POW.

This memorial plaque is at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire
