05 May 1980 Operation Nimrod by SAS members to clear the Iranian Embassy of Terrorists. The gunmen were members of an Iraqi-backed, anti-Khomeni organization whose goal was regional autonomy for Arabistan, an oil-rich province in southwest Iran.
